My Sister

I just wanted to do a quick post about my sister. I recently lost her to cancer. She fought hard.

I am not sure I would have my business if it weren’t for her. She was my biggest fan but she was also my biggest inspiration. That girl had style. Always did have. She had an eye for beauty in all things and no, they didn’t necessarily have to be perfect to be beautiful. Actually, it was usually better if they weren’t perfect. She shared my love for all things vintage (or more accurately I found my love of vintage through her) and rustic. She was a thrift store treasure hunter and through her finds I would be often inspired in my art. She was always the first to comment on my posts or even simply like them. It never failed to make me feel like I was doing something good.

I miss her so much. But she will continue to live on in my art because I still feel her inspiring and encouraging me.
